Our Mission
The mission of BLESSED SACRAMENT ACADEMY is to win the hearts and souls of our students for Christ and His Church through authentic Catholic teaching in accordance with the Magisterium of the Church. We strive to provide our students with an atmosphere that stimulates intellectual curiosity, promotes serious academic studies, and creates an environment in which learning and practicing the truths of the Catholic faith are central to the development of each child.
In pursuit of this mission, all administrators, faculty, and staff pledge themselves to adhere to
the following core principles:
That all human beings are made in the image and likeness of God and therefore are to be
treated with respect and dignity.
That effective education seeks to form students so they may achieve their God-given
potential in the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social realm of life.
That "Faith is certain, It is more certain than all human knowledge because it is founded on
the very Word of God Who cannot lie." (CCC #157) Therefore, knowledge must be enlightened by
faith.
That respect and responsibility are fostered in a setting where rules of conduct are
enforced with firmness, tempered with compassion. This approach is vital for an orderly
atmosphere conducive to learning.
That when children are welcomed into the school family, the teachers become a major
influence in their lives. The teachers assume the role characterized by IN LOCO PARENTIS,
i.e., the teachers take the place of the parents while the children are in school, providing an
atmosphere that fosters respectful obedience to proper authority. To achieve this goal,
parental support of the teachers is a necessity.
