What is NAPCIS?

Who is NAPCIS?

On July 13, 1995, representatives of four private Catholic and indedendent schools met at Sweetwater Retreat Center, Guerneville, CA. Based on the experience of the member schools present, they determined the necessity of establishing a national organization to preserve and promote Catholic education founded in obedience to the Pope and Magisterium.

The schools in attendance were:

NAPCIS has since grown from its four charter member schools to now include over 30 schools coast to coast. There are at least 50 more now in the process of seeking membership and/or accreditation.

NAPCIS Mission Statement

The mission of NAPCIS is to assist in providing for the spiritual and academic growth of our nation's Catholic school children directed to the greater honor and glory of God and the perpetuity of His Church on Earth.

Fulfillment of this purpose will come from consistent and intelligent adherence to the Magesterium of the Roman Catholic Church and from the implementation of reasonable and demonstrated practices of education!

NAPCIS Membership

NAPCIS seeks members who are dedicated to preserving and teaching the truths of the Catholic Faith in loyalty and obedience to the Holy See.

Interested individuals and schools are invited to apply by completing the membership application and meeting the technical and professional eligibility requirements.

NAPCIS enforces the Principle of Subsidiarity and recognizes that member schools wiII differ in their methods and facilities. In order to be eligible for membership in NAPCIS a school must be a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization (status may be pending), and must provide the required documentation and demonstrate that they operate under a Catholic philosophy of education.

A committee will review the application and make a recommendation for status of membership.
